bloggy business cards

Okay – here’s my business card design – or at least close to it. I actually did this myself and DH is going to tweak it for me tonight before I get them printed. What do y’all think?

When you see that b/w icon – you know it’s me right away, right? I try to use it on all my accounts so it’s immediately recognizable.

Of course, two of those three urls aren’t actually working yet – but they will before Oct. 11 (2 weeks!!) when I go to the BlogHer Reach Out in Boston.

Tell me if you love it or hate it – I’m hopefully printing tomorrow!

I like it! I am always a fan of bold and simple, though. It’s eye-catching, all the important information is immediately discernable, and it’s got your trademark logo.

I love the icon and the size of your name. It pops. Overall it feels a little cluttered to me. Unfortunately I don’t have any recommendations on how to fix it. Hope I’ve been somewhat helpful.

I like it but understand what Becky says about it feeling cluttered. Any chance of a two-sided card with name and email on one side and all the site info on the other?

And do you know if there is any chance of crashing the conference or a spur of the moment blogger meet up the day after the out reach? I didn’t sign up because I’m not sure if A) I would be able to make it that day and B) if I would get anything out of it other than finally meeting some of my favorite bloggers and C) it is hard to justify $100 for my hobby.

Hope you have fun and get lots of value out of the day!

I love it! The graphic is feminine but the black and white keeps it clean and more of a graphic than flowery. I like the font too – has just a touch of deco to it, doesn’t it?

Looks great! Print’em up! And have a great trip to Boston! Wave towards Metrowest if you get a chance. I’ll be waving back. :)

Loved the graphic and simplicity. I think you should think about priorities with the text, though. Your twitter account line is in bigger type than your blog address, which seems a little skewed in terms of what you want people to see first.

I like how your name is bigger than your email address, so I wonder if you could use that same format for the lines below:

have blog address slightly larger, then in much smaller type right below it write “personal blog” and repeat that pattern for each line. That way the addresses stand out more, while the identifying markers are less prominent.

You could even LEFT justify all names, and RIGHT justify all labels on the next line down to make the labels more subordinate. If this is confusing, but you think you might like the idea, email me. Good luck!

Your design is awesome. I’m in the middle of trying to design something like this to spray over shoppers with some kind of mass-card-deployment gun at our next local big craft sale. Your card design will definitely catch their eyes and seep into their subconscious long before they spot me high-tailing it out of there.

There may be a flaw in my plan…
