apathy
I haz apathy, and it isn’t about the election.
~yawn~
I need a nap. I might have stayed up a little too late last night…
But instead let’s talk about something frivolous, shall we?
Let’s talk about how my once favorite past-time is currently disappointing me. There isn’t anything good on TV.
It’s true. I think.
Or is it just me?
My former favs are either gone or boring me and I haven’t been able to get into any new shows. What’s wrong with me? Not even Amazing Race is holding my attention like it used to.
What are you watching these days? Anything at all or have you given up on TV? I really like to have have it on while I work in the mornings and this apathy is affecting my productivity!
Anyway, DH just re-upped our Netflix account for the winter and I need to update my queue. Let’s pretend I’ve never watched any TV ever. What series would you recommend I watch? Old, new, drama, comedy, anything? What would you watch again and again?
If you don’t give me ideas, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get all the Wonder Woman episodes and then you’ll have to hear about it, so save yourselves!

Life is on tonight – am loving that show. Also, Life on Mars is really good – so much better than I expected! I find Chuck incredibly amusing but you have to buy into a lot (like a supercomputer being downloaded into someone’s head) to follow it.

We’ve started watching Big Bang Theory recently, starting from the beginning. Maybe we’re just nerds, but I find it pretty hilarious!
I used to love Grey’s Anatomy, but I fear it may be on an unrecoverable slide; howver Private Practice is still holding my interest.

24 is pretty exciting and didn’t air at all last year. The plot is a little contrived at times (well, a lot,) but the show has a tendency to suck you in.
HGTV is fun, and you don’t have to follow any particular show.
Other than that, it’s World News and Court TV (which I tolerate for SeƱor) at our house. Oh well… We’re too busy for much else.

You mean it’s not just me? I wiped out nearly all of my TiVo season passes because most of my old favorites are just awful this year. Even though the writers strike is over, they seem to just be phoning it in this season. Anyway, I’m still watching Bones, House, Eli Stone, CSI and ER. That’s about it. For your Netflix queue, I highly recommend “Sports Night”. Superb dialogue and thoughtful plots.

We just watched a miniseries on Sci-Fi (a repeat) but I loved it. The Lost Room.
Weeds is a fantastic show and I resisted but LOVE House. Entourage is entertaining and I can never give up on Grey’s Anatomy. Happy watching!
I love the new adventures of old christine. sometimes I pee a little when I am watching it.
MB – I’ve heard of Life and Life on Mars – will have to check them out. I watched Chuck all last season and meh.
Krista – Will have a look at Big Bang. I still follow Gray’s but it’s iffy.
SometimesSophia – Hmm, I haven’t watched 24 since the first season. Might be time to catch up! I put on HGTV or Style when nothing else is on too.
Mumma Boo – Never heard of Sports Night! Will do.
Candy – You know I can’t resist SciFi!
JReese – Welcome! I should have said that House is the only show I’m not disappointed in this season. What was I thinking?!
Meg – Well that’s just about the best recommendation possible!
[...] most excited about is Stargate Universe! Can. Not. Wait. Even though I’m still finding myself less and less interested in tv in general, I’m hoping SGU will be as good, in it’s own way of course, as SG1 [...]
