yes you can have thanksgiving without turkey

Our turkey disguised himself and got away.

So we had a pork roast instead. Mmmmmhhmmm! Okay, the truth is Damon doesn’t particularly like turkey and since we were staying home this year he requested the pork roast. It was a good choice, and frankly it made my day really easy.

We also had the best dang carrots ever! I made them with brown sugar, agave nectar, (I was low on honey and it was a fantastic substitution) butter, and vanilla. I’ll never make honey glazed carrots with honey again!

It was just the three of us, simple, quiet, and lovely. A day to be thankful for.

Did I just hear a collective “awwww” :) or was it just me?

    Yummm….pork roast sounds like an awesome Thanksgiving dinner. And yes…awwwwww! Especially considering my cat has an upper respiratory infection and an ear infection right now! Poor thing! He is about 13 years old after all.

    I had salmon! WE had dinner in a formal dining room of the retirement building where my FIL lives….and I love salmon. I can have turkey any day!
    And yea…that was me in the chorus of AWWWW!

    I almost bought agave nectar the other day actually. Now I wish I had (and now will).

    Our little T-day was good too.

    I’ve been gone forever, buried in work, but wanted to check in and see how you are doing. Sounds like fall was a good one. Love all the crochet stuff!
