it must be time for bullets
It’s one of those bullet kind of days, don’t you think?!
- There is an official relaunch over at Blog Nosh Magazine. It’s been completely redesigned and it is absolutely gorgeous! If you’ve checked it out before but haven’t been there lately you should go see how tasty it is now! If you’ve never been there at all, well, what the heck are you waiting for??
- Chapter 15 is up at ChapterBytes written by Desiree from Mother’s Musings. She did such a great moving the story along, thanks Desiree!
- I cleaned my house. You must know by now that such an event is worthy of a bullet. Maybe two since it’s like, really really clean.
- I think I might have to make the boy take naps after school. And I might have to rename him Crankyboy. All this new information is being crammed in his little brain and he’s exhausted. Are you experiencing this with your kids too?
- I’m considering a site redesign. I’m kind of tired of the green.
- It’s also because I’m considering putting up an ad and I need a third column. PLEASE don’t hate me for it and unsubscribe.
- I need to get some business cards made up before the BlogHer Boston Reach Out on Oct. 11. Any recommendations? They need to be very inexpensive and I’ll be designing them myself. When I say that of course I mean DH will be designing them.
- Lastly, can I just say this whole new schedule is killing me? I used to be able to get up at 7:30 and still get him to preschool on time. Now? I have to be up and showered before 7. Ugh. I. Am. So. Tired.

again with the bullets
Yep, it’s one of those days – better to write bullets than nothing at all!
- I wrote 99% of a post yesterday, just before all hell broke loose with work. I got so busy with my mini crisis I forgot to save the freaking post before I closed the window. *crying*
- Thank god for coffee.
- I was smart yesterday and made a double pot of coffee so today I have iced coffee without having to do any work. Why didn’t I think of this before now?!
- My house looks like a volcano erupted and spewed craft items. Suddenly the boy is into cutting up little bits of paper and cardboard, coloring them, and gluing and taping them back together, mostly into robot shapes. I’m not allowed to throw away any of his trash treasures.
- Kindergarten is going really well. He only cried once, that first day on the bus. That was the last time I cried too. I love having a couple hours alone every day!
- Unfortunately, the boy does a great job at mimicking his teacher. It sounds a lot like the “wah wah wah wah” from the Charlie Brown cartoons. We try really hard not to laugh. Cause, you know, that would encourage it or something.
- No, we don’t have an answer about the bus stop yet. I’ve resigned myself to driving him to school as soon as snow flies.
- God, I love these chilly nights. I’ve been sleeping really well these last two weeks. Thank god.
- I could do without the hot hot days though. So done.
- My friend Nicole took us to the cutest beach ever on Monday. I’m not telling any of you where this adorable little gem is. Unless you bribe me. I accept paypal or chocolate delivered to my doorstep.
- I desperately need to go to the grocery store. I just can’t seem to get it done. We have no eggs, no butter, no meat, barely a slice of bread. NO PAPER TOWELS. It is impossible to live in a house with a kid and not have paper towels.
- Okay, so the volcano didn’t just spew craft supplies, it spewed dirty laundry and dirty dishes too. *hangs head in shame*
- Soccer starts on Saturday. Two months of screwed up weekends. Again. Why do we do this to ourselves?
- Do y’all see my train of thought pattern here? Or am I the only that actually understands my unwritten segues?
- Sigh. It’s past 9 am now. The penguins are squawking at me. Must go back to work.
Maybe, maybe tomorrow I’ll have a real post. If I can stand to rewrite the lost one. Ugh.
bullet friday
I can’t gather all my thoughts into one coherent post so it’s bullet time again!
- Mmmmm. leftover pizza.
- Congratulations to AndreAnna! Such a cute baby boy! It’s okay if you go see – I’ll still be here when you get back.
- Went to the beach with Kristen and all the kids yesterday. Stayed there over 5 hours. Hence the pizza for dinner. You really must go the photo of her sunning herself on the sand!
- Am sunburned in all the places that I missed putting on the sunscreen. The backs of my knees, my nose, and all around the edges of my suit. I wish the spray kind of sunscreen would start out white and dry clear, so you know where you’ve hit. Are you listening Coppertone??
- I suddenly have all these followers on twitter, and it’s making me shy. I’m guessing it’s because of Blog Nosh, but seriously, I can no longer think of anything to say that doesn’t make me sound like doofus. Now we all know how to shut me up – start paying attention to me! Yikes!
- Did I mention I’m merging my online life and my reality? I actually put my blog on my facebook account so everyone in real life can come read Catnip. So if you’re on facebook – come friend me – so I can be shy there too!
- If you already came over from facebook, and you know me, it’s time to delurk!
- Hello, my name is Annette. As if you didn’t know that already. But I’ve “branded” myself Catnip – so I’m keeping it for the commenting.
- New ChapterBytes post up! Chapter 8 of Foodie written by Christy! She was very nervous, but she shouldn’t have been – she rocked it! Go give her a little love.
- I thought today was gonna bite – no plans, and lots of chores. Instead I got an email offering me a new contract job to photo edit a history book. Woo – freaking – hoo!!
- I still have chores though. I’d rather blog.
- Extra job = maybe I’ll be able to pay the propane bill this winter after all.
- I’ve been researching fireplace inserts. Trying to reduce my dependence on foreign oil. All so expensive. Sigh. Any recommendations?
- It’s taking me forever to write this because I’m also watching the boy splash around in his kiddie pool. So cute.
- I don’t know how to stop. Every time I hit enter it brings up another bullet and I feel like I should fill it up.
- See?
- This is getting ridiculous.
- I’m gonna go surf Alltop now. While I avoid the laundry.
